Scott Hutchinson


Scott is the Chairman of Hutchinson Builders, Australia’s largest privately-owned builder with offices throughout the country and an annual construction turnover of $2.9 billion.

Hutchies, as its affectionately known, was established in 1912 and is now into its fourth generation as a family business having shaped many of the country’s cities and towns over a century.

More recently, Scott’s name has become synonymous with the fightback against lock-out laws and the overregulation of the local entertainment industry.

He is the Patron of QMusic and is personally responsible for the establishment of Brisbane music venues The Triffid and The Fortitude Music Hall.
