Monica Earl
Contreras Earl Architecture

Monica Earl is a founding director of Contreras Earl Architecture, an emerging architecture and urban design studio focused on providing highly innovative contemporary design solutions across a range of scales and typologies.

Prior to co-founding Contreras Earl Architecture, Monica worked for leading design-oriented firms in London, Sydney and Amsterdam including Foster + Partners, Carmody Groarke and Farshid Moussavi.

Monica received the Royal Australian Institute of Architects Design Medal from the University of Sydney and the Frank Knox Fellowship at Harvard University, completing a Masters of Architecture and Urban Design (MAUD) at Harvard Graduate School of Design.

She joins Urbanity to explore creativity in the built environment and the future of architecture and urban design in cities.

Alison Page
Designer & Artist

Alison is a Walbanga and Wadi Wadi woman (from La Perouse, Sydney) and an award-winning designer and film producer whose work links indigenous stories and knowledge with contemporary design.

She works with urban design, architecture and landscape teams in the development of Connecting with Country strategies around Australia.

A regular panelist on ABC’s The New Inventors, she was inducted into the Design Institute of Australia‚Äôs Hall of Fame in 2015 and recently received the Interior Design Excellence Awards (IDEA) Gold Medal.

Alison is the founder of the National Aboriginal Design Agency and an Associate Dean (Indigenous Leadership and Engagement) in the Faculty of Design Architecture and Building at the University of Technology Sydney.
