Designer & Artist
Alison is a Walbanga and Wadi Wadi woman (from La Perouse, Sydney) and an award-winning designer and film producer whose work links indigenous stories and knowledge with contemporary design.
She works with urban design, architecture and landscape teams in the development of Connecting with Country strategies around Australia.
A regular panelist on ABC’s The New Inventors, she was inducted into the Design Institute of Australia’s Hall of Fame in 2015 and recently received the Interior Design Excellence Awards (IDEA) Gold Medal.
Alison is the founder of the National Aboriginal Design Agency and an Associate Dean (Indigenous Leadership and Engagement) in the Faculty of Design Architecture and Building at the University of Technology Sydney.
